- To ensure your Brazilian waxing, leg waxing or other body waxing treatment goes smoothly, trim any excess hair before you go to the salon (about a 1 ½ centremetres of hair or half inch to half an inch at most)
- For women only, it may be more sensitive to have a Brazilian wax just before or after your period. Ideally, schedule your wax a week before or after it is due
- Shower and lightly exfoliate your body before your appointment using warm, not hot water
- Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment to avoid skin irritation
- For those with sensitive skin, you can reduce pain by taking an over the counter pain relief medication an hour or so before your waxing treatment
- Post-waxing, exfoliate your body to avoid ingrown hairs and moisturise twice daily.
