Eyebrow Threading & Facial Threading

Your Sanctuary Day Spa specialises in eyebrow threading, our therapists are extremely experienced. Threading has been around for centuries and is used to remove hair from the face, i.e cheeks, upper lip, and chin, full face, and eyebrows. Threading has become an alternative to waxing and plucking.

Threading is done in our Day Spa using one simple tool which is a piece of one hundred percent cotton thread. One end of the thread is usually anchored around the neck of the therapist and the other end is held firmly with the left hand. The index and middle fingers of the right hand then form a loop in the centre of the string.

The thread is then rolled over the surface of the skin collecting the hair as it moves. The thread lifts the hair out by the root. This procedure does involve a small amount of discomfort as does waxing and plucking. The amount of discomfort will vary from person to person.  Eyebrow threading is the best way to achieve a great arch to your eyebrow, because threading is so effective in removing even baby fine hair.   Make- up will have an incredibly smooth and sheer finish, a great tip for the bride to be, especially for those close up photographs.

This procedure is more efficient than tweezers because it removes a row of hair instead of plucking one by one. Tweezers can often pinch the skin causing small marks and redness. Eyebrow threading and facial threading eliminates this problem entirely.  We can use ice packs to minimise redness, should this occur, however any redness will disappear within a short space of time, as opposed to waxing.
