Thalossotherapy is a popular type of spa treatment offered by our Sydney day spa including marine body wraps, hydro-massages and scrubs that use seawater, seaweed and ocean derivatives such as algae, mud and sand. "Thalasso" comes from the Greek word that means sea and the word "therapy" from the Greek word "therapeia".

The treatments used in thalassotherapy are derived from natural marine sources that are rich in nutrients. Sea water and our own blood plasma are very similar. The underlying principle behind thalassotherapy is that the body absorbs the minerals it needs through the skin to help restore the body's natural chemical balance.
